About 5 km through the beautiful beech forrest you will find a small cosy campsite with its own shop & café. The campsite is surrounded by forrest and situated right on the banks of the lakes of Silkeborg. From the campsite you can take a trip to the Himmelbjerg or Silkeborg with the worlds oldest steamboat "Hjejlen".
We have pitches for 50 caravans and approx. 50 tents and can offer accommodation in luxury cabins with own toilet, bathroom and kitchen. In addition to that we have 6 nice rooms by the lake side and 5 fantastic glampingtents; luxury camping in a tent.
You can rent canoes, kayaks, motorboats, SUPs and bicykles. There are several trekking routes in the surrounding areas and good opportunities for an active holiday, so bring your trekking shoes, bicycle/mountainbike and experience our fantastic outdoor surroundings.
In our café with a fantastic view to the Silkeborg lakes, you can enjoy a smal selection of sandwich, snacks, cold drinks or coffee and cake while watching the boats, canoes and kayaks slowly passing by.
When the day comes to an end, light up a campfire or a barbecue at the banks of the lakes and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the campsite.
A short walk from the camp site, you'll find the lake Slåensø - one of the purest lakes in Denmark. Go for a walk around the lake or take a swim by one of the small "beaches".
If you are looking for a small campsite with a relaxed atmosphere in one of the most beautiful areas of Denmark, featuring plenty of opportunities for outdoors activities, then Skyttehusets Outdoor Camp is definitely worth a visit :)
