Salling Camping – a Cozy Small Self-Service Campsite by the Limfjord

Salling Camping is for those who wish to enjoy a holiday at a relaxed pace – close to water, forest, and the experiences that characterize the Limfjord area. The campsite is located on a hill near the coast, and the Limfjord is only a short walk away.

Here you will find a small, cozy campsite where trust, presence, and a warm atmosphere are at the heart of everything. Salling Camping operates as a self-service campsite, meaning you can easily check yourself in and out – without fixed reception opening hours.

After booking your stay, you will receive all necessary information digitally, making arrival and departure easy and convenient at your own pace. Simply follow the instructions upon arrival – and you will quickly be settled and ready to enjoy your holiday.

In return, you get freedom, peace, and flexibility – without compromising on service or personal contact.

Self-Service – with People Close By

At Salling Camping, you handle the practicalities yourself:

Check-in, check-out, payment, and information are simple and straightforward, so you can begin your holiday whenever it suits you.

However, this does not mean you are on your own.

The host couple, Peter and Lisbeth, live just opposite the campsite and are a natural part of daily life on the site. They are often seen around the grounds, happy to have a chat and ready to help if questions or needs arise. Should you need them, they can always be contacted.

Self-service is built on trust – and on the belief that good service can still feel personal, even without a traditional reception.

Nature, Fjord, and a Wonderful Breathing Space for Your Holiday

You will stay in the beautiful natural surroundings of Salling, close to Fur, Mors, and Skive – and at the same time only 700 meters from the Limfjord. This makes it easy to combine relaxation at the campsite with small excursions in the surrounding area.

Salling Camping has 74 pitches, and its size is part of its charm. It is easy to find shelter and a cozy corner, children are never far away, and the pace is pleasantly unhurried.

The campsite is well suited for families with children, couples on a quiet weekend getaway, and guests who appreciate nature, tranquility, and for example fishing by the fjord.

A Campsite with History – and Hosts Who Know the Place

Salling Camping has been owned by Peter Haubo and his wife Lisbeth since 1990. With many years of experience and deep local knowledge, they are hosts who know both the campsite and the surrounding area thoroughly.

Although the campsite today is self-service, presence and helpfulness remain an important part of the experience. Here, you are met with trust, friendliness, and often a good tip for an excursion, a restaurant, or a fishing spot by the fjord.

If you are looking for inspiration for experiences in the area, the hosts are happy to share their local knowledge – and in the app you will also find suggestions for excursions, restaurants, and attractions.

Accommodation – Cabins, Tent, Caravan, and Motorhome

Facilities and Activities – Easy and Safe for Families
