Hindsgavl Camping
A small quiet campsite in the heart of the Lillebælt.
The campsite is about 2 km from Middelfart on the wooded Hindsgavl peninsula, approx. 1 km from the historic Hindsgavl Castle and about 400 meters from Lillebælt.
The small peninsula offers a wonderful nature with its rich flora and fauna. There are marked trails, both along the coast and in the forest.
The campsite, which is laid out in a former orchard bordering the forest, provides good shelter, especially from the north and west. There are good fishing opportunities in Lillebælt, both from the coast and at the port in Middelfart.
It is also possible to rent a small boat or participate in organized fishing trips with a cutter.
Thanks to its central location, there are many possibilities for excursions, both to Jutland and Funen, including Givskud Zoo, LEGOLAND – Billund, Koldinghus – Kolding, the seven gardens – Ebberup, Terrarium – Vissenbjerg, Hans Christian Andersen's House – Odense and much more…
The town of Middelfart, located between the two bridges, is also worth a visit. It has long been an important town in Denmark because of the ferry service to Jutland. It is still a lively market town, with many beautiful and well-preserved historic buildings.
We are located 50 meters from the Nature Centre and we are the nearest accommodation to Bridgewalking.
