When people think of the island of Sealand (Sjælland), they think of Copenhagen and its many wonderful experiences – but there is even more to it than that!
North Sealand is characterised by its many castles and forests. The Kattegat-coast, between Hundested and Helsingør, not only boasts some of the island’s loveliest beaches for bathing, but also provides some wonderfully hilly scenery, with steep crags, seasoned orchards and exciting wooded beaches.
Roskilde is one of the oldest towns in Denmark, with an abundance of historical and cultural sights. A living centre of history and culture. The area along Køge Bay is a treasure-trove of living history, art/ culture, from Ishøj to the medieval town of Køge itself.
Meanwhile, South Zealand is one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas in the world’s oldest kingdom.
Møns Klint, with its white chalk cliffs, is possibly Denmark’s biggest natural tourist attraction.
West Sealand is renowned for the world-class beaches that abound there: the Great Belt coast, Sejrø Bay and a wealth of small, untouched places, which you can find all along the coasts.
